On to EE news...
Arian Mayorga - All of ten years old, Arian won first place in a county-wide American Legion Americanism Essay contest.
Challenged Athletes Foundation - Our annual trek to La Jolla for CAF's biggest event of the year was a memorable one. The kids trained all summer in preparation for competing for the rights to make the trip. The lucky winners got to mix it up and run with hundreds of physically challenged athletes who were helped back in to the game of life by this remakable foundation (co-founded by the aforementioned Bob Babbitt). First, a dip in the hotel spa for Sam,
Eric, Arian, Israel and Abigail: We were joined by EE old-time and

Tram Road Challenge - Toughest little race you could imagine: Only 3.7 miles but 2,000 vertical feet of climb. Race producer Greg Klein always takes great care of the kids, and we had 30 of them there this year, with plenty of podium finishes.
The sun hitting the peak at dawn makes
it look like the tram towers are heading into fire. One of the top finishers, 6-year-old
Ahris! Diana with the Coach The brothers Mayorga and Olivares. Our guys walked away with a lot of
hardware. Ahris broke his own 6-and-under course
record from last year. A splendid time was had by all! * * * Next up:
