Hello Friends,

As we head towards the end of the school year, I wanted to give you a quick update on your “Exceeding Expectations investment.”

Here is Archi Lai when he was 12 years old,

doing his first triathlon at PossAbilities in Loma Linda.

Ten years later Archi raced, as part of the UCLA triathlon team,
at the USAT Collegiate Nationals and at Wildflower (Long Course).
His bike and wetsuit are both donations from EE supporters.

But Archi’s greatest accomplishment will come next month when he graduates from UCLA with a BS in Neuroscience. You EE supporters were behind him all the way as he worked through four years of college.

We have no kids graduating high school in 2018, but in 2019 six kids will graduate and join ten of their EE teammates already in college.

We’ve had three races since our last letter:  Run for Ike 5K, Desert Tri, and PossAbilities Triathlon and 5K. The EE kids dominated the podium in all. A big Thank You goes out to all those who acted as Race Angels for the little ones at the Desert Tri. (Very few pictures, because a certain official EE photographer was racing with the kids!)

Run for Ike

Aramiz, following older brothers Arian and Ahris,
did the kids’ tri at PossAbilities and
is now ready for his first grown-up triathlon.

Linda Kessman has been Jose’s race angel in several events. At the DesertTri,
she biked and ran with him and then turned him loose for the finish. He had a great race!

We have some exciting things coming up and we’ll keep you informed.

Your investment in Exceeding Expectations is paying off, big time, one kid at a time. I speak for every one of our kids and their families when I say Thank You for believing in us and giving your support, financial and otherwise.
